WoW Horde Leveling Guide

2nd October

It is not a secret that it is impossibl to get to level 80 in WoW overnight. There are professional gamers who can get to level cap in a matter of weeks, but are you a pro gamer? If no, it may take you up to a year or even longer. One thing is for sure, WoW wasn’t designed for solo players. Being a casual player, with just a few hours a week to play, I participate rarely at my guild’s raids and events. As you know, creating a PUG and participating in groups is not an easy task, that is why my choice is solo leveling.

When leveling a character I never had too much trouble with the lower levels, but after surpassing level 20, the XP bar always seemed stuck. Since I didn’t have any maximum level horde character, to help me, a friend recommended a horde leveling guide.

The idea of following a guide to level up didn’t seem right, but I wanted to have my mage level so bad, I decided to give it a try. And you know what, it was one of the best decisions I have ever made while playing WoW. It had about all the information I needed to level up a toon, gathered there. Not only that the guide had one of the best quest paths I’ve ever seen, grouping up all of them 6-7 at the time to manage time, the quests were also described step-by-step, each quest having links to thottbot, allakhazam or wowhead, for extra information if it was necessary.

Joana’s leveling guide also has a mapmod which point quest locations on your game map, it makes your leveling process even easier. Addon also places a special arrow near your character, the arrow always point to the place you should go.

After I purchased Joana’s horde leveling guide, my leveling process became very interesting. I used to use farming as my main leveling technique, however, I realised that it is not as effective as questing. I also recommend you to complete quests, it is much better. All in all, even as a noob for certain zones, my XP time was managed by the Horde leveling guide at maximum.

Beginners Guide to World of Warcraft

10th May

What is WoW?

World of Warcraft or WoW as it is more commonly known, is a MMORPG which is an acronym for “Massively Multi player On-line Role-Playing Game”. In an MMORPG, thousands of players from around the World exist in the same on-line game world at the same time. They leave the real world behind and undertake heroic quests in a land of fantastic adventures.

In the game there are two opposing factions at war with each other: the Alliance and the Horde. When you have decided which side to play there are nine classes of character to choose from: Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock and Warrior. Each class has its own unique set of talents and abilities. You can, depending on the class of character that you have, choose to build your character’s talent trees for damage-per-second (DPS), tanking, healing or a combination of these.

There are 10 races to play: Orcs, Tauren, Trolls, Undead, Blood Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, Humans, Night Elves and Draenei and many professions your character can play: Alchemy, Black smithing, Cooking, Enchanting, Engineering, First Aid Fishing, Herbalism, Leatherworking, Mining, Skinning, Tailoring, Jewelcrafting, and Inscription. (Note: Within the Rogue class there are two unique secondary professions: Lock Picking and Poisons).

There are thousands of quests to undertake with multiple kinds of transportation. In addition, there are four realm types which will be the very first decision you will have to make before playing World of Warcraft. Your reward is money and reputation which will increase your skill and power. A good place to start is to find a decent World of Warcraft Leveling Guide to help you through this mystical world.

Within the game itself there are two “modes” of character:

  • Player Characters (which are controlled by real people)
  • Non-Player Characters (which are controlled by the games’ software)

So you can find yourself playing a “real” person as well as the games created opponent.
Your character can earn copper, silver or gold to fund your adventures. In addition you will need to work on the different skills for your character.

There are a whole host of guides around and all do pretty much what they claim but some do it better by having additional features such as forums and members areas which help you level your character from 1-70 more easily. Many also have detailed gold guides and the latest up to date information on, for example, Wrath of the Lich King which takes you up to level 80! However, with that said, players are more than free to progress at their own pace and pit their skills against multiple on-line opponents. But if you would like a WoW Levelling Guide or more information on where to find WoW resource’s just click the link.

WOW is Blizzard Entertainment’s 4th game in the Warcraft series and is now played by over 10 million people world wide! If you have played any of their other games, it starts 4 years after the setting of Warcraft III in the world of Azeroth.

The Horde and Alliance are opposing factions locked in a struggle for control of the land – and neither side is backing down. Horde and Alliance players can battle each other, but they cannot interact, trade or even talk to each other. So if you have friends you would like to play with, make sure you belong to the same factions!
