Astral Travel Explained

18th June 2009

We have all had those incredible dreams where we are flying – it’s an amazing feeling of complete freedom. What if you could experience this feeling anytime you wanted? Astral travel is just like these dreams. Astral travel is how your astral body makes its way around the astral plane; it does this by flying, just as in your dreams. When you astral travel, all you need to do is to think of what you want to do or where you‘d like to go and your astral body will fly there at the speed of thought.

A lot of people confuse astral travel with dreaming. When we dream, what happens is that our minds try to process the happenings of the day that could not be resolved in our waking lives. This is a normal process which is essential to maintaining our mental health. However, we don’t usually remember these dreams, except in disjointed fragments.

Those times where your dreams are vividly remembered are the times when you are experiencing astral travel. It is good practice to write down these dreams on paper or in a computer journal of some sort. You may not understand the dreams now, but later you can browse over the lot of them and likely make some sort of sense for you.

Just as those first dreams you have at night help your mind relieve stress and work through the issues of the day in order to keep you sane, astral travel has benefits as well. Which is why it is important that you keep track of those dreams that you remember very well. It is these experiences that can help you, the benefits will vary by the individual and that is because each astral travel experience is unique to the individual.

Writing down you astral travel experiences and attempting to gain knowledge from them as a whole will show you things about yourself you would have never guessed. Astral travel will show you, in essence, a view into your very soul. This self-awareness will give you a sense of peace and well-being. You’ll be exercising parts of your brain that are never used, and so you will be smarter for it.

Once practicing astral travel, you should see a significant boost in your telepathic and psychic strength. Anyone who works at astral projection will tell you that their psychic abilities increase the more they practice. They can more easily sense sprits and use their telepathic skills.

When you astral travel, you use untapped psychic energies and cause your psychic abilities to bloom.

Those who are skeptical of astral travel soon come to their senses after working on their astral travel skills. Even they have been able to read the auras of other people quite easily.

This can also be a thrilling, fun experience which can give you a new found sense of empowerment. When you astral travel, you have the ability to go anywhere you want and do things far beyond the limitations imposed by your physical body.

With so much to be gained by practicing astral travel, it’s a wonder that it isn’t something which is commonplace. The reason for this is that many assume that these kinds of abilities are the sole province of a select few and that they could never learn to astral project. However, the conventional wisdom is wrong in this case. All of us have these abilities; it’s only a matter of exercising them and developing to our full potential.

It is a safe bet that you have astral traveled and not even realized that you have done it. Remember in the beginning you were encouraged to remember the last time you dreamt that you were flying, that was an astral travel experience.

The key to reaping the benefits of this experience is for you to do it consciously, which means nothing more then you need to be aware that you are doing it and be able to control what your astral body is doing.

There plenty of resources out there, including books and videos developed by people who astral travel regularly. You already have this ability – it’s up to you to use it and reap the rewards.
